I know that " white privilege" is the buzz word for righties. I'm fortunate to have had the opportunities in life I've had.....I know many don't get the same. Whether it's because I'm white, I had great parents, or the neighborhood I lived in.....can't really answer why but I do know I was given the best chance to succeed and others are not. Simply acknowledging that fact of life isn't a terrible thing.

Yes and no. It's a large part of it, but not all of it. Unfortunately, minorities tend to have less education and expect their children to achieve lower levels of education than white parents do.

If the neighborhood market rate for lawn cutting is $30, no 'law' that can magically force people to pay $40 just so the 'poor' laborer earning $10/hr can earn his $15/hr "living wage." People will look for alternatives - just just pay the 12 year old next door cash under the table.
