I say it's Brady Hoke. I think he's just got $3 million left on his contract. Should be an easy buyout for Meeechigan. I think Muschamp has something like $6 million left on his contract. UF fans hate him. But are they upset enough to pay out 6 mil? As for Chuckhouse Charlie, if they keep him one more year, Kansas won't have to pay out the $5 million. Weis is the ultimate flim flam man. Gets hired by a school with a juicy long term contract and huge buyout, totally fuks up the program, moves on to another school, rinse and repeat. I think Notre Dame still owes him something like $8. The dude must have the best agent in the world. The problem Kansas has is even if they canned him, who are they going to hire? Nobody wants to coach at that school.

Maybe Kansas can bring back Glen Mason...........

Hoke will be gone..........

If Muschamp loses to Georgia for the 4th Straight Year that could do it.

The funny thing about Michigan is Harbaugh wanted that job and came to them, but Michigan gave him the stiff arm and hired Hoke. It still amazes me how people who are paid big money to make these kinds of coaching hires are consistently wrong and seldom get it right the first time after a long time coach leaves. Oklahoma, Florida, Michigan, probably Texas, USC, Tennessee, Bama before Saban, Nebraska, Auburn, Notre Dame. None of these schools AD's had a clue of what a good coaching hire is. It may take Michigan 3 or 4 tries before they get it right.

In all fairness, Stoops hasn't done shit at OU since he was hired. GS might want to step in, but I spent half my life in that state punching holes in the ground for a living, thank God a lot of them hit, but he hasn't really done anything for them. You have players arrested for the most dumbass shit, and ......I'm leaving it at that. I've been a Sooners fan since I was able to run, and believe me, I'm not Forrest Gump, but I can run, played wideout, rb in high school. The man driving the bus is the head of sports and he is a great guy, met him a couple of times and wish Vandy would pick someone like him up. Ah, what the puck, late and I'm in the mood, LOL.

No, I'm talking about Gibbs, Smellyburger and Blake who came before him...It took OU 2 AD's, 3 coaches and 13 years to finally get it right after Switzer left.

It took Notre Dame awhile as well to bridge the gap between Holtz and Kelly............Bob Davie is at New Mexico, Tyrone was last seen in Washington giving them their first winless season in 120 years (something like that), and Charlie Cheeseburger at Kansas with neither of them turning things around..............

my preseason prediction was WM loses to Tennessee and gets relieved of his duties before LSU...but $8M buyout is pretty damn pricy considering it was $500K just 1.5 years ago before they extended him.

one thing will learned from nick saban is employ a great agent...he did, he uses CNS' agent, jimmy sexton

was A LOT of love for Fla and Driskel on this board in august. not so much anymore

I don't understand weis getting blamed at Kansas. He's not a good coach and has done nothing to turn it around. But the Kansas collapse was not him.

How about Charlie Strong?????

Ya know, I hate Texass with a passion, but that has to be the most dumbass post this forum has ever witnessed. Strong is a solid coach, would give my left nut to have him at Vandy.

GS, Snelly was hired because of the fact he was a good coach and put a beatdown on Nebraska in the Orange bowl. Gibbs and Blake should never have coached at OU. I have to this day no idea why Gibbs was hired, and Blake was the "politically correct" selection, which absolutely pisses me off to this day.

And tell me something, what has Bobby done with players he recruited, seriously. When they won the title after beating Fl St., tell me, who out of the players that were on the field how many of those did he recruit???? He's got a great mansion in Norman and OU doesn't have jack. Period.

Both Blake and Gibbs got hired because Switzer suggested it to Steve Owens. Gibbs was the assistant coach to Barry at the time, and Blake was a line coach on Switzer's staff at Dallas and had no qualifications to be a head coach at any program, especially OU. I like Barry, but sometimes he comes up with some of the stupidest shit for ideas that I've ever heard. I blame AD Steve Owens for hiring Smellyburger. He didn't do enough of a background check on him. If he would have he would have seen he was an old drunk who had seen his better days, It wasn't long after that fiasco that Owens resigned and they hired Castiglione from Missouri. Castiglione was the best thing to ever happen to OU. He's made mostly the right decisions when it comes to coaching hires and keeping a quality staff at OU.

Whether he's fired or not, Strong has started something new at Texas. Going to class, keep up their grades, graduate, follow the law, live on campus with other students, practice on time, be respectful to professors and other students etc. What a concept. Student/athletes who are good guys. Whoever heard of such a thing....I hate Texas, but I admit I kind of like old Charlie. Trouble is, Mack Brown was the college football version of a hoarder. He let a lot of dirt pile up. And 40 Acres a big mess to have to clean up.
