Turkey and a whole duck, both smoked on big green eggs. Been doing this for a few years now. I fucking love duck, throw in a little Grandmarinier orange sauce, can't beat it. I don't even eat much turkey.

Women will handle the sides, don't really care as long as there are potatoes.

Have a question for those of you that cook your own turkey.....how important is a roasting bag? I got a recipe online (coconut milk, butter milk and pomegranate marinade) and it makes no mention of a roasting bag, just to cover in foil before roasting, my wife and I have never made a turkey but her mom does every year and uses a roasting bag so my wife thinks its neccasarry and I want to follow the directions.

Never have used one. Tin foil to cover the breast so it doesnt burn is all I have ever used
