So what was the real deal between Harbaugh and the 49ers?

I'm out of the loop evidently.

Hes had a great run there. Michigan and a few NFL teams are now lining up to beg him to coach there (and with good reason it seems). He's a winner.

So what is that the 49ers hate about him enough to let go of such a great coach? Or is it something that Harbaugh hates about the 49ers?

curious.

To me it seems someone in the front office just has a big enough ego they don't want Harbaugh in the spotlight.

Or.... maybe he was really solely responsible for putting Tat Boy in the starting QB slot and they can see he is a turd in the toilet.

Packer I think your assessment in statement #2 is correct. I think Harbaugh was the loyal backer of as you'd call him the Tattoed Turd Boy lol. His loyalty to the Tatooed turd boy has never wavered no matter how shitty or brain dead he played. Harbaugh's unwavering loyalty to this joker QB probably led the front office to question where the team was actually going...

Also, in all due respect to Coach Harbaugh I feel he was losing control of his team. Name calling and disention were running rampant in the locker room and he was losing control. Maybe it was the losing that caused the name calling and disention but it was occurring...

it it is a shame because except at QB this is one talented team personnel wise...

Yours in Winners

I think he lost the team. Early in the season, too.

And while we're at it, what was the deal with Vernon Davis? Total noshow after Week 1.

Sometimes relationships just outlive their usefulness, strongwilled people rub each other the wrong way, etc

The 9ers played a lot of extra football the last 3 years and injuries finally caughtup to them on both sides of the ball this year. Throw in losing some games to bad officiating, Kaepernick not taking the next step and you'v got a team that underachieved. Fine line between winning and losing in the NFL.

On January 7, 2011, four days after winning the Orange Bowl, Harbaugh agreed to a 5-year, $25 million contract to become the next head coach for the San Francisco 49ers.[SUP][76][/SUP]

very simply, he tried to extort more money, before his contract ran out, feeling he warranted rewriting what he had agreed to.

to get the money he wanted he had to go elsewhere.

next.

Local guy here. Bay Area sports radio says when York didn't extend Harbaughs contract at the beginning of the season, he leaked info to the press about dissection in the locker room. Players say that harbaugh lost the locker room. Which was untrue. Lamicheal James was the one quoted as saying harbaugh lost the locker room. And he was cut early in the season, and to this date, is not on an NFL roster. Long story short, York chose the GM Trent baalke over harbaugh. Harbaughs aggressive(complete asshole who disagrees with everything management says) personality cost him his job. Harbaugh was 49-15 or some crap in his tenure. fucking terrible decision.

I don't think it's a terrible decision per se, the niners peaked, they should've won at least one ring. It's time for a change not only with the coach but also kaep, he's not very cerebral as a qb, he can't read defenses and make a decision pre and post snap, he's all muscle. I know there's no other option right now but niners will find a way, they always do.

"Peaking" with that many people injured and missing games due to ignorance...... I question that.

And winning a Superbowl with Tat Boy...... if he did that..... they should present him the the "Key" to the solar system!

49ers simply forgot that they were under .500 for 8 straight years before harbaugh arrived. he turned them around instantly

no excuse for their offense being as bad as it was but they have about a 1% chance of hiring a better coach since JH is at the top of the profession

Exactly. Jed York is a clueless trust fund joke. What's the saying; born on third base, thinks he hit a triple.
Here's a link to the transcript of the press conference yesterday. He talks about class, but his actions show anything but; all the front office leaks, the Thanksgiving tweet, etc.

Has absolutely nothing to so with this season, they tried to trade him to Cleveland for a 1st round pick early this year. That story may have been denied but given what happened this year surely no one doubts it any longer. They wanted him gone and had decided that long before the 49ers even opened camp for this year.

lots of good comments...

unique intense guy who lost the team... tons and tons of injuries and suspensions on defensive side of ball. losing 3 all-pros (or close to it) plus other top defenders didn't help.

didn't realize his loyalty to kapernick was/is a huge issue though maybe it should be ... one thing i question though is starting a running QB and then not having him run. why not just grab the best pocket passer you can get? and kapernick isn't that.

I've heard that letting A Smith play every snap right after his DUI made the front office extremely mad
