OhioSt losing at home to VT and playing in the weaker Big10 should not be in the conversation at this point and especially now without their starting QB.
TCU, Baylor, MSU, Bama, Oregon should all be ahead of them IMO and I'm admittedly Big12 biased.
i would have to disagree.. osu started a team dominated with freshman and sophomores and have gotten better every week.. one could say the same for baylor and tcu.. I would have to also argue imo the Big 12 is much weaker conference than most realize imo...
i think any one loss team has a legitimate argument to be in the the top 4 , we will all disagree because of our own biased opinions. Ohio State now starting a third string QB is really tuff though. If they are able to win the conf championship, which will be hard given the QB situation then I feel they will be a lock to get into the top 4 but I wont expect much from them given the challenges they will face starting the 3rd stringer..
Also, imo i think the sec dominance is over. The top tier teams are still tuff sob's but i think the rest of the conference had rode that success on their coat tails. It still by far the best conference in america, no one will change my mind on that. But as offensive coordinators have developed these no huddle, wide open, stretch the field offenses it has given teams who were at a physical disadvantage an opportunity to compete.
What has always set the SEC apart from the rest was their physical dominance in the trenches, that has been negated some what the last few years. Its for that reason that maybe the top 1,2,3 temas of other conferences can compete a little better against the SEC.. it is still the best football in the country top to bottom, and to disagree is just being biased toward your team/conference.
just me 2 cents, not worth much in the real world..
