After it was repeatedly defaced over the last several months, Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is no more.

According to Deadline, which claims to have spoken to the man responsible, the incident occurred at about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday. By the time LAPD officers arrived, the man had reportedly left the scene.
However, a video of the star's destruction was provided to Deadline. In it, sparks fly as the metal and stone square is smashed to bits. The camera briefly zooms in on the 'R' in 'TRUMP' after it was ripped out of the sidewalk.

by Pete Demetriou of KNX 1070 radio shows the star is totally unrecognizable as Trump's.
What appears to be the final act of vandalism on the billionaire's star comes after months of reports of less permanent acts of aggression against it.
A
swastika was spray-painted on the star at one point in the drawn out 2016 election. An artist also erected a wall meant to evoke Trump's proposed barrier between the U.S. and Mexico.
Deadline says the man who destroyed the star told them his intent was to it auction it off in order to raise funds for the women who have come forward to accuse Trump of sexual misconduct in recent weeks.
