Clevenger, 30, who has played in just 22 games this season, issued an apology Thursday night for his tweets referring to protests in North Carolina following the fatal police shooting of an African American. He will not appeal his suspension, according to a person with direct knowledge of the issue. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the matter is ongoing.

Sorry Zit, you can't say whatever you want when you represent your company. It's just the way it is.

Goes both ways then, why isn't that fucking maggot Kaepernick suspended for the rest of the season, and all his maggot copy-cats?

Feelings on the matter aside, I believe in the actions by Kaepernick were deemed to not violate the CBA while it was deemed certain portions of Clevenger's comments where in violation of the league's CBA.

Because he isn't saying anything blatantly offensive on social media or in the press.

only the racist disrespecting scumbags can speak their minds, they can protest against things they don't understand, they can disrespect our flag and our nation at will, even on sacred days

but say something about their "deplorable" behavior, and you're subjected to backlash

The NFL and MLB, the Seattle Mariners and the San Francisco 49ers are all allowed to run their businesses. Not you. They decide based on what is in their own best interests, not what the rest of us whine about. We could have the government step in and decide what speech is allowed and what is banned. Would that be better?
