You just quoted her with the word "blackface" in her quote. If one would simply look at the history of blackface you would understand why people were offended. She is a high paid television personality and should have done her homework and stayed away from the racial garbage...

No, she didn't put black paint on her face.

She simply asked why it would be racist for a black or white person to dress up as a character for Halloween as it wasn't racist when she was a kid.

There's nothing wrong with what she said. Stop making it out to be something it wasn't. NBC wanted her gone because of her low ratings and this was their excuse/opportunity.
