St. Bonaventure +1.5

Down 2 with 3.5 left and the Bonnie kid hits a 3 with .04 left. The VCU kid throws the ball in and the crowd storms the court. The problem is VCU called a timeout and the Bonnies were assessed a one shot technical foul for the kids storming the court. He hits the FT and then VCU covers in OT.

Now, that's a real bad beat there.

I guess UNDER in the game might have been a WORSE bea ..... Insane stuff going on all day since the refs tried to anal rape Purdue with the bogus travel call after time ran out.

Pet Peeve: Replay reviews ALWAYS add an extra .2 or .3 seconds to the clock then they should. When a ref calls a foul or blows his whistle the clock doesn't stop at that precise split second. It should be the same with replay.

Game # 708 today was -8.5 or 9. Trailed 39 minutes and 55 seconds until OT. Won by 10.
There oughta by OT insurance for Dog Bettors. You shouldn't have to win a game twice (sweating Fordham now)!

The only thing bogus about that call was the ref didn't call it soon enough. Should have been another second on the clock.

All due respect I guess we'll disagree Cy. From my ancient eyes his pivot foot moved but he did not lift it until 0.4 or 0.5 remained. The whistle blew at 0.2 = game over. Either way though, you CAN review at what time on the clock a call was made. You CAN'T review when it should have been made though. IMO 0.5 was a travesty.

My thing would be.....replay takes out the human part of it....such as delay from whistle blowing to operator stopping the clock. So why not just use the time as soon as the foul is called.

I know its a pet peeve of yours but I think they do it the right way. Just my opinion

Vit I think reviews should leave the human element at least to the point between a whistle and a clock operator's reaction.

As far as the Purdue ending people can judge here for themselves whether or not 0.5 is S-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g it a bit TOO MUCH:

You are right Scott. During the game I thought for sure he had traveled earlier. After looking at your video here it looked like he was close to holding his foot until the time had run out. I was wrong. Sorry

Someone said they were wrong in here. Cy I think you just made Internet Sports Forum history.
I have to check a thread from Bettorsworld in 1999. I think Buzz Daly once admitted he was wrong.
So Cy you might have to share the record. :)

P.S. Purdue students were murdering Isaac Haas on Twitter. I can't imagine the seismic reaction if Maryland's undeserved extra shot to win had gone in!

Haha. Never afraid to admit when I'm wrong. I had Maryland +2.5 so it really didn't matter to me but in real time that sure looked like the kid shuffled his feet. I wonder if Turgeon wasn't calling traveling in the background if the ref would have even called it.

That bitch retiring against Djokovic ended up costing me almost 1K as I went on tilt after that.... all he had to do was finish one more set.

Even Djokovic was surprised that he quit like a bitch at the beginning of the 4th set.
