that's one of the problems with online poker, IMO.....there's a better chance of me folding pocket 8's with an 8 on the board in "real life" than online.....

One of my buddies plays in the WSOP championship event every year. Two years ago he gets dealt JJ about 10 minutes in and limps in. One other guy limps in and the blinds both call. Flop comes QJ4. He checks and the guy after him bets $300. Big blind calls and he just calls. Turn is a 6. Same thing, this time the guy bets $800. The BB raises to $2500 and my buddy goes all-in. Both guys call! River comes a 5 and there are two busted players less than 15 minutes into the tournament. Late limper had QQ and blind had 44.

Its bad to lose like that, but in the tournament you wait all year for and only get one shot annually at its gotta more.

I was in a live tourney over the weekend ....took 2nd but thought I had 1st....I get dealt KQ diamonds......Flop 2 diamond. 7 diamond 8 clubs I raise half my stack the fucker calls ....turn 10 Diamonds im BOSS

I go all in he calls turn over the cards ....RIVER 9 DIAMONDS!!! he has an ace Diamond and a 10!!!!!!!!! he wins 1st:sad3: still won 2nd but DAMN is that a bad beat??

Another out the money finish at poker stars and i'm in a full out slump...i cant win anything more than a 100 guaranteed at intertops and frankly 2.5 hrs for 25 bucks just isnt what i had in mind...i know its just a bad run of the cards but its been a month now since ive hit anything that paid more than an entry fee or 2..i cant go back to sportsbetting or horses as i dont have the bankroll required...when i was intoxicated 24/7 i could laugh this off and wing it again tomorrow but thats not the case anymore..im going to have to take some time off and reevaluate if im really cut out for this after all. i wish i could just do this for fun but im a lil to competitive for that...ive never lost at anything but life in general for any extended period of time and losing at these games is not something i can stand. its time to step away for awhile see if i can get my edge back and if not its time to call it done....hopefully ill see you guys back here soon but if not thanx for putting up with me these last ...damn its been 7-8 years already....good luck everybody.....your a good bunch of guys :toast:
