just curious, how do you become a bookie? i mean, sure you can just be a bookie with your friends, but how do people know to make bets with one guy(a bookie) all the time??? very curious

When I did it, I had a bunch of guys want to bet under my number. I ended up keeping them and telling them just to place their bets thru me. Also, when they referred anyone to me I gave them 10% of their losses.

careful what you do-- you recruit people, and you might be moving in on an established book's territory and thats when you get a visit from uncle Sal to cease your booking activities.
