A lot of people have told me they did fairly well. A holiday weekend and no NFL yet makes me think the books were only on facing a piece of the action they will get next week. Just from my first thoughts I think the books win more than their share at least 5 out of every 6 years of opening week of NFL as the betting public goes crazy on games that generally don't offer big edges. If the books did poor this week, and judging from some of the massive moves that went against them (Memphis, Fresno, etc) I am sure they can easily make it up by next Monday night.
