the typical cronies on both sides are praising/bashing the pick.

i saw one mccain guy critical of the pick in pat patriot who i acknowledge for not being a plant and stating his true thoughts.

no willing criticism of either candidate and the vp from the backers. wil was right about this forum.

Are you going to still post when you get to Canada? There's really no reason to.

All dems and repubs and indy's think she's nice looking - every one agrees there - she looks like one of them book worm bitches - and there's something sexy about a bitch whose favorite meal is moose stew

This shouldn't be a surprise.

Objectivity is pretty rare with partisan politics

shes a smart pick in that all the spiteful women who werent going to vote for obama just because hillary lost will now vote mccain. shes an atrocious pick in that shes a nobody from the middle of nowhere with zero foreign policy anything and Mccain is 72 and shes next in line. Why he didnt pick a woman who was more qualified it completely beyond me.

The 25 that think it's a great pick are like the people on Family Feud who jump up and down and yell "good answer, good answer" all the while knowing their relative just gave an answer that's gonna result in "X".

Your act is getting old already. If you don't like this forum, leave. Why on earth would you stick around is beyond me.

In the meantime, why don't you start some hourly countdown about a band playing during the RNC that couldn't be more meaningless in life.

The greatest VP pick in history was when Roosevelt threw Henry Wallace his VP from 1940-1944 under the bus and picked Harry Truman in 44 the year before he died. Can't even imagine the damage a true socialist like Wallace would have done.
Other great VP picks were Teddy Roosevelt by McKinley in 97' & the Republicans picking Coolidge in 21'.
Sarah Palin is a truely wildcard pick, she could be one of the best!

One thing I'm certain of; of all the wild card picks for VP in my lifetime Sarah Palin made by far the best entrance to the stage. She was completely at ease in this big environment.
Compare her to McGovern's pick of the Missouri senator in 72' who he thru under the bus within a week or the Kennedy brother-in-law who took his place. Dan Quayle in his first introduction to the big scene was absolutely an embarraing figure stunned in the spotlight and Ferraro wasn't much better. All these wild card picks showed they didn't belong,
Sarah Palin on first impression showed she does!

She was pretty ho-hum today and it wasn't much. She's never been seriously asked tough questions, or any questions, on a national stage about national issues. We shall see.

I know ... and you can't learn it by reading about it.

Imagine a reporter asking her about something like the Ethics Reform Bill or the Farm Bill ... and Palin looking in bewilderment because she doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about.

Also, I wonder how long it will take for her to throw McCain under the bus and criticize a bill that McCain voted for.

Oh wait ... McCain's already criticized bills that he himself authored .. scratch that.
