Good call Fish. I took Smarty too but because my wife was the 4th leading horse trainer at one of the top tracks in Kentucky at one time

Took a couple hours but I finally caught my breath. What a rush the Derby is.

Tremendous victory and a great story. Was so glad for the owner and his new legacy.

Smarty Jones ridden by Stewart Elliott splashes by Lion Heart and Mike Smith to win today's Kentucky Derby. Smarty Jones ran his record to 7-for-7 and became the first unbeaten Derby winner since Seattle Slew in 1977. Seattle Slew went on to win the Triple Crown, a feat Smarty Jones will attempt when he heads to the Preakness in two weeks.
