ready to give it a full fledged try this year. I bet some totals late last year with a local where he put every number at -110, it was unbeliveable and yet I still lost a little.
I will attempt it exactly like all other sports but have had real no prior expierence with it. Can't wait!!!
Are you going too bet hockey? How have you been doing lately? Last time we talked was a month ago, I had a great Septemeber baseball month and an above average month overall.
No beefs what so ever with you. Sometimes I have a hard time remembering what posters agree, disagree, like, dislike me but you are an easy one to remember because of your unique personaility (and avatar).
To tell you the honest truth the off topic threads I have toned down a little bit the last few months. Some have expressed that was getting out of hand so if you look at my last 100 threads I started, I would be willing to bet 95 of them were sports or gambling related. One thing you have to admit though is that off topic threads about money are always interesting no matter who starts them. They are a must read to me. Life is a big game and it is fun trying to find way to beat it or read what others are doing. I know the handful of people I personally know tell me these are their favorite things to read at the RX. I have always thought thousands of minds are better than one and I guess if some dont like it than they dont have to read them.

I was planning on betting hockey, never done it before either but I don't see why it should be any different than any other sport really. The only thing that makes me wonder is that you said you were actually losing money on baseball totals, I hope hockey totals don't follow in that same path.
Been doing a lot better in September than in August. Pretty much stopped betting baseball but so far I'm doing very well in NCAAF and NFL and did well in NFLX. I think the difference is at first my good numbers weren't coming into play at all but later on they have more (8 out of 187 have mattered, not sure if that's average or not). Only 187 bets in a little under 2 months, so not getting as many bets as I want, but with NCAAB and NBA and hopefully NHL coming up that should change.
Been meaning to email you for quite awhile and just haven't gotten around to it. Would like to compare some numbers to you if nothing else (not sure what to expect in terms of percentage, ROI, etc, I think I may be running a little too hot to be sustainable, I'd like to compare to your long term numbers to get an idea.) Maybe we can also talk some pucks as we're both trying this out for essentially the first time. And of course just to talk about our betting style in general.

I broke down alot of numbers the past month and I honestly think it helped me have a better September for bases as I concentrated on certain type plays and bet more on them and vice versa. Been doing the same thing with football and one thing I have notcied (and it is still very early) is that I have some huge success with 2nd halves in CFB and will focus on them alot more the rest of the year.
