While I don't really follow the NBA and I don't bet on it I do have a fantasy team. I was wondering if I could get some advise on some players who haven't done much in the past that might have a break out year. This is what I have so far

Tinsley, Jamaal (PG-Ind)
SG Anderson, Derek (SG-Por)
G Peeler, Anthony (SG-Sac)
SF Harpring, Matt (SF-Uta)
PF Wallace, Rasheed (PF-Por)
F Malone, Karl (PF-LAL)
C O'Neal, Shaquille (C-LAL)
C Ratliff, Theo (FC-Atl)
Util Brown, P.J. (PF-NO)
Util Davis, Dale (FC-Por)
Bench Harris, Lucious (SG-NJ)
Bench George, Devean (SF-LAL)
Bench Eisley, Howard (PG-NY)

Any help would be much appreciated...

thunder,

Shaq is your man obviously but i like ratliff as a backup, atl has no one this season and if ratliff stops bitching and starts playing he will put up good numbers

harpring will most likely be the man in utah!?lol which is good for you but not for jazz fans

hold on to tinsley, he has the ability to put up triple doubles and is a great passer, i hope the pacers put faith in him this year, he is worth keeping

i would look to offload karl malone his scoring rebounding numbers be down overall so let him go, derek anderson is a big question mark always with injuries, not to mention bonzi wells looming large...

i would be keeping eisley but im biased i follow new york, he looked good in patches last year, and no one big will be taking minutes away from him at the point, he should be the starter

just my thoughts but yeah you could definately improve by trading away malone, anderson, even wallace if you can get someone good for him take it but overall not too bad.. make a few moves tho, what leagues are you playing in?

it completely depends on what categories your league president used. If he ised rebs or def/off/total rebs or TOs/assists/assists to to ratio/steals/3s
its all relative in fant sports

billdozer,

yeah your right, i was going to ask what kind of scoring system the leaugue used. sometimes the leagues are geared around good FG shooters, and bonus points for triples....

no worries thunder post back if you make any trades, last year i had tinsley and he did really well, but he is not much of shooter, he really needs to improve in that area. if you can look at trying to trade for antoine walker (celts) and a good shooting point guard who can fill it up this year.. maybe andre miller (den).

Harpring will be a top 10 fantasy player. Great fantasy player on horrible team, Utah really has no one else so he will carry them.
Other than Rasheed Wallace the rest of your team stinks though, i'd trade Shaq for a starting point guard and rebounder, and release Devean George.

PG Jason Terry (Atl)
SG Derek Anderson (Por)
G Wally Szczerbiak (Min)
SF Keith Van Horn (NY)
PF Chris Webber (Sac)
F Elton Brand (Lac)
C Lorenzen Wright (Mem)
C Derrick Coleman (Phi)
Uti Antonio McDyess (NY)
Ben Charlie Ward (NY)
Ben Kedrick Brown (Bos)

Thats my team so far. I just traded Nowitzki for antoine walker and andre miller!I made this trade before i heard walker would be going to dallas! I'm not afraid to trade and deal. I dont really care who it is!I'm not happy about deadwood like coleman and van horn but no one would want them in any deal and they do enough not to waive them so i guess im stuck with them. Anyone else got any leans on players due to have break out years?
