The conversion rate from sports to poker is high, however, it could be increased IF an interactive poker tutorial was offered to customers. Skybook Poker will offer this feature. Learn to play in minutes!

Several variations of poker will be taught, i.e. Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha H/L, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud H/L and others.

A preview of Skybook's interactive poker tutorial will be available by Sunday of this week.

See you at the tables soon!

For the books this is a gold mine. I cannot tell you how often I've transferred money from a book's pokerroom to their book to make a wager. The biggest problem these guys have is getting more poker players into their room so they can then get those guys to open sports accounts.

I know the feeling. I recently joined Ladbrokes through their casino promo, then the poker room... then sports.

They put any bonus into the main account that you access through a portal where the sports are very prominent.

Although the sports/casino operates in GBP the poker room is in US $ and you can transfer back and forth at whatever the rate is for the day. It doesn't move much but allows you to maintain the online funds in either GBP, US$ or both.

"theswami", you're right in saying that players are essential in order to create a successful cardroom. This is by far, as you've already pointed out, the most difficult challenge that all new cardrooms face.

Stand alone sites, such as Paradise, Stars, Party and others market to a niche audience, which for the most part plays poker more so than they bet on sports.

It seems as if Sportsbooks offering poker do so merely for retention purposes. Proof of this is seen in the way in which cardrooms operated by sportsbooks are marketed. Few if any are seen in media outlets, which cater exclusively to poker off and/or online.

Skybook will offer a multiplayer poker product powered by one of the most proven software providers in the industry. We will seek to obtain the greatest amount of critical mass in ring games and tourneys; however, our primary focus is in fact sports. Poker will be offered as an extension of our products.

We look forward to bringing you and others more details shortly.

Hope to see you at the tables soon!
