Controversial ESPN personality Skip Bayless is leaving ESPN after 12 years with the company and is expected to land at Fox Sports. ESPN announced Tuesday in a statement that Bayless will be moving on this summer.

Skip Bayless has decided to leave ESPN when his contract expires at the end of August. His final appearance on First Take will be the day after the NBA Finals conclude. We want to thank Skip for his many contributions to ESPN. His hard work and talent have benefited ESPN for 12 years.

Bayless joined ESPN on a full-time basis in 2004, appearing on "Cold Pizza" which is now "First Take." Bayless's presence on ESPN has been part of the "Embrace debate" mantra popularized by Jamie Horowitz, a former ESPN exec who is now at Fox Sports. Bayless joins Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock as ESPNers who have left the company within the past year.

The Worldwide Leader has also parted company with Bill Simmons and eschewed his eschewed the Grantland site he started. On Monday it was announced that Mike Tirico was leaving ESPN/ABC for NBC.

I didn't mind Tirico but Hate Bayless ...

ESPN is a clown show

Another one I just can't stand is Cari Champion, she belongs on Yo MTV Raps, definitely not on any sports network imo

Fox Sports is horrible. They keep grabbing up every detestable ESPN personality. Whitlock/Bayless/Cowturd, the trifecta of absolute shit. What will be their biggest shock after spending all of that money is it won't make much if any difference in their ratings...

Fox is going at it all wrong.
They need to go after live sports rights and not personalities.

If they ever want to over take ESPN or even compete gets NBA or MLB rights.
