If you bet on the Sixers, you are getting 3 points on a team that has beat the Knicks 4 times in a row & 8 of the last 10.

You are also getting a team that is 4-1-1 ATS on Friday nights, playing against a team that is 2-5 ATS on Friday. This trend looms large.

But most of all, heavy backing is building on the Knicks against a team that has their number.

The weakness in this play is that the Sixers have been cold, & its hard to beat a team all 4 times in a season. Knicks might have extra kick tonight knowing they could get swept. But i'll take the points with the better D & inside game.

I got this at 3 & expect reverse line movement to 2.5 down.

Have to part company on this one. I think you have to evaluate in a holistic fashion. Sixers should never have lost to the Nets. Poor 3 point shooting and joke free throw shooting. When they finally beat Washington they still had 19 turnovers. Their slump was self imposed. A combination of bad coaching and players who simply have no confidence. Knicks have given real effort in almost every game. Recent trades made them deeper and helped a little with the central big man issue. Last game at home against Orlando with seconds left they were down by 2 points. Last 15 at home they are 10-5. The losses were to
Orlando
Cleveland
Boston
Lakers
and Philadelphia
When they lost to Philadelphia it was not only worst 3 in four but they had not had 2 days off in 8 games.
Things always change and they have changed here. Knicks are not only the better team and the harder working team now but they operating with triple revenge just from this year.

which is a very high winning percentage much stronger then usual.
Philadelphia is also in a position i look for religiously. They are on the road with a home game the next day against Orlando. Orlando has beaten them twice this year and through 2008 is 5-1 against them. See this as a major negative.
Sixers have played without heart or passion for a long time. Do not think they deserve your money or that of anyone else being invested on them. GL

finite those are great points. If i lose it will be because of what you described. Knicks do put out much more heart than in the past but that only translates to more scoring because their defense is horrific. Their losses are always due to being outscored. It is always a good value play to be getting points & have the better defense on the court, so hopefully the Sixers will have a good scoring game with little defense pressure.

Also the road trip is a 3 hour bus ride town the NJ turnpike so i would discount the back to back factor. Orlando always kicks the crap out of the Sixers.

i dont like playing totals. Too many of them play close to the number in the end for my taste.

Finite, look at the actual points scored instead of shooting %. All the Knicks opponents are going to 110 & up. The Sixers opponents are all under 100 points despite the higher shooting %. There is just a lot more shooting in Knick games because they play no defense.

you might be right & the sixers are a fraud. But I got 3 & the line moved to 1.5, so Vegas just wiped out the value for Sixers backers. I don't like to read into line movements because their only goal is to confuse. But i got a good number so i'm hoping for the best.
