I remember that. It wasn't last year though, it was 2 years ago. Time flies

They were +1100 on a b2b @ Den and I think it was chop or enfuego came into the thread to congratulate people and some guy flipped on them after all hell broke loose in the final 10 seconds

Pop tried to gift wrap this game to Sixers as a favor to his former asst coach. It didn't work but the Sixers covered. You know Parker's ribs weren't hurt. He had to say it to avoid an NBA fine. Sitting Parker and Duncan is an insult to the NBA and the dolts that bought tickets to game months ago thinking they would see the World Champions. I know the Spurs were playing back to back but it's only December, not February or March. If the NBA had guts it would bring down a massive fine on Pop because this is just as bad as the Sixers tanking. I hope like Hell the Cavs sit Lebron when he comes to Philly. He most likely won't because the team needs to win every game it can. The Sixers even with their horrible team are using staggered pricing depending on the opponent. Fans paid a higher price if they stupid enough to buy tickets for Spurs and Cavaliers.

that is a good point with all the staggered pricing and "premier packs" that are sold based on seeing certain teams

I bought an 8 game clips pack a few years ago b/c it had 2 lakers games, OKC, heat, etc and they jacked up the price for all of them

with that said, i still give props to pop....he is playing within the rules...his job is to try to win championships

Why would you want lebron to sit if he comes to philly? What does pop doing what he always does have to do with philly fans? You sound like an angry spurs bettor. I can tell you this....I don't think many,if any, fans there tonight cared that parker or duncan didn't play.

No, I didn't bet the game and yes the fans care who plays. They aren't there to see the Sixers. This has been a discussion on the Philly sports talk radio shows. The fact the team is charging more for games against premier opponents. If you look on StubHub for the Sixers/Cavs game you will see the highest prices on the secondary market vs any other Sixers game. I hope Lebron sits so the Sixers ticket office gets bombarded with phone calls. This is a mockery what's going on now.
I know Pop is trying to win a championship but what I'm saying is you have an obligation to the NBA and ticket buyers to play your best players. Tonight was the Spurs only visit to Philadelphia this season. Now almost all decent teams coming to playing the Sixers are sitting their best players. You should also be aware they raised ticket prices this season knowing they would be putting a fraud team on the court.

I don't agree with this part. I'd be mad at the 76ers for having a crap team that noone has to play their best players to beat....not at the smart coach who is maximizing his opportunity to achieve the goal he was hired to accomplish. Pop works for the Spurs.

You don't have to tell me about ticket prices. I've been a sixers season ticket holder since 2008. I was there tonight and I'm tellin ya....nobody really cared about duncan and parker. Lebron, kobe, durant are a different story. Pop has an obligation to his team and its health also. Old team and I have no problem how he handles that.

I agree it is disgraceful what's happening with this sixers team

I think they have a chance for a win soon either against the Wolves or Pistons.
