Speaking of preventing people from getting suckered out of their money, I strolled down to the dungeon to see what crap was down there, and sure enough, the "this is my last post here, ever" stiff Madcapper is still around.

Talk about amazing.......

BTW, there are some parallels between allowing known, proven, stiff posters and scamming touts. Something to think about.

well ofcourse I vote to keep it and if it is canned I hope I will have someplace to advertise my site as I sell nothing and just carry on with friends and we ramble about games! we will see what happens!

Anyone who gambles will be subjected to this in some form. I see no reason to "protect" the "innocents" and would much rather see them exposed to this stuff here. At least it is kept in one place and they can then get opinions by asking the forum. There was a thread last week on opinions regarding buying picks.

When I first came on this Forum I had the same outlook as Kidslick, why harbour obvious scammers, which I still think they are. However, when Smokey AKA Chucky lucky hit the run of his life in the play-offs, posters were like lemmings trying to get on his E-Mail list. The place was chaos even with the site promotions section, with them and the ghosts clogging up the other Forums. So without this safety valve, IMO the whole Forum is open to the same thing.

I am one of the few in this thread that post in that forum. I don't see anything wrong with it. It can be fun to browse through the different sites and see all the different websites.

In my case, I do not charge for picks nor are my percentages anything to brag about. I simply maintain a database of picks and do so free of charge for anybody to posts their picks.

This is just to let you know that not all the Site Promotions posters are up to no good.
