Very well said and objective analysis. Hopefully some of you heard it.
As for Brian "Ball-less" Baldinger, he refused to say much at all.

Basically what Brando said was that the NFL has created a huge problem for itself (and he works for the NFL). He noted the spread and game occurences, particularly the final play. He said over $100 million changed hands because of that call.

He said it stunk and looked fishy in so may words.

He also noted that the game was CBS' main game yesterday so millions saw it, and then CBS also switched over to it for the last 10 seconds so the rest of their viewers could watch after the Tenn/Jax game went final.
Plus, a lot more people were tuned in to see Barrack Obama who was coming up next on 60 minutes.

He also ripped CBS, for the way they quickly rushed off the air without giving a clear explanation or showing what happened. The last thing you saw was the ref signaling a TD for the play standing, then they went off the air and you saw 11-10 and thye said call reversed.

Big props to Mr. Brando for having the courage to address this nonsense.:aktion033 Too bad Chris Berman is a shill.

Yea berman has stated about 3 times now you cant advance a lateral which is just so wrong. I really wonder how deep this thing goes. Maybe even stat boy from PTI is in on it

i think the nfl rules say a lateral can be advanced. its the same as a qb pitching the ball back to a rb, if its muffed, it can be advanced.

I'm assuming Berman will change his tune now that the refs admitted screwing up?

i think the nfl rules say a lateral can be advanced. its the same as a qb pitching the ball back to a rb, if its muffed, it can be advanced.

from the washington post...

"We should have let the play go through in the end, yes," Green said. "It was misinterpreted that instead of killing the play, we should have let the play go through."
Green said there was confusion because of a misunderstanding about which lateral was in question.
"The first pass was the one that was illegal, but it only kills the play if it hits the ground," Green said. "That was incorrect to have killed it at that point. The ruling should have let the play go on. That's just the way that it played out. We believe the second pass was legal."
Because the ball did not hit the ground and no whistle had blown, the play was never dead, and thus the touchdown should have stood. Even if officials thought the second lateral did hit the ground, it still would have been a free ball, meaning Polamalu's touchdown return was valid.
Those are some of the most basic rules of officiating, and this crew flat out missed them.
"I know," Green said. "The rule was misinterpreted."

Both the QB and Coach were shocked and not happy with the touch down when you look at the replay, they are already collect the money from Vegas.

also, the Ref looked very stupid with his two hand up for the touch down signal but stop and fix his hat. he should go back to school to learn how to act, very bad actor but get pay well.
