Single deck ( 3-2) BJ is now extinct in LV !

The only place left ( to my knowledge), that has it, at all is El Cortez. They back you off fast, if you vary your bet size, even if losing. They will shuffle if you increase your bet, or tell you to flat bet....and quick !

Double deck is about as bad, they often cut off more than 1 deck.

You now must play shoes, to have any chance of a decent game.

BJ sure has declined there.

3/2 BJ does seem to be going the way of the doh-doh bird, but it's still around. I know Binions has it at the higher limit tables ($10 and up). That's the only place I can recall. This last trip I only played BJ and Elco and Binions. I am pretty sure the Coast properties still offer it, but I can't say for sure.

I would like to nominate that POS known as Harrah's for the fall of 3/2 BJ.

I didn't see it all at Binions ( single deck, 3-2), just got back from Vegas. I doubt I missed these tables.

I didn't go to Coast properties, but I doubt they have it, either.

It's all about female dealers looking like strippers, and dealing 6-5.

It must be hard for a guy to even get a job dealing.... esp. a newbie dealer.

El Cortez is giving $15 meal vouchers to anyone with a military ID through August. Just found out about it yesterday after dinner, so I'll be making it down there within the week

Some place near there straight out advertised "$3 Sexy Black Jack." Even if it pays 6-5, it's still a lot cheaper than dating and you'll get more action

This type of action got me booted , quick. !


$5 EC game, normally dealt deep.

Start at 2 hands of $10 each, deck goes negative.... cut back to one hand of $5, deck is decent, not ace poor.... then two hands of $20-25 each... third hand, deck still positive, try $30-50 a hand.

You'll last about 3 shuffles, if "Mo" is working. This is how a counter must bet.

Ironically ( that means entirely made of iron ?) I lost a good chunk to EC playing like that, and on my next to last day..... "Mo" told me flat bets only for you ! I colored up and left at that point. Playing heads up against the raw dealer and wearing shades didn't help my case much.

In other words this , typical card counter style of play ain't welcome at the EL TOILET BOWL....even if your losing doing it !


Doug says ....you now must count down the 6-8 deck shoe...not my specialty, but I can keep a running count over a shoe, I'm tradionally more of a sniper, but it ain't 1992, anymore either !

I sure can't play at EC's game, and the double decks suck as well. Doug needs to play shoes, if he ever wants to play again.

We can count a shoe...it all depends where they place the cut card.

Doug can't profitabally play two decks with 1.25 decks cut out, or a nice single deck game where a green chip makes the pit boss piss his pants.

"Act" or "be" the drunk gambler with no care for money and you will not get the boot.

Counting SD, or DD for that matter with a slight buzz was easy for me back in my hay days.

Very easy to put on the act of chasing the last loss, or cutting back cause you are getting your ass handed to ya.

The only problem I rain into in Vegas was Barbary Coast, place was a joke. Of course I went from $10 to $500, but did this on many occasions until they finall caught on and had the Harvard scholar of a pit boss come over and count the deck down and politely escort me to the door.

This was over several hours of play, and squirrling chips.

Also, if the game is that great, start with stronger cover. That can get you more time, play different shifts also
