The Lakers just wanted to pad those extra few points here and there to maintain their power ratings.. plus combine it with a blowout, the teams dont play defense because the outcome was already decided in the beginning of the 4th Q

figures though two weeks ago there blowing atl away and they decided to do nothing in the 4th and combine for like 39

Only starter Lakers had for most of the 4th quarter was Kobe while Blazers kept 4 starters in until there was less than 3 minutes left.
