The Lakers were done before the Final series began...most people/betters were too blinded to the truth by the shine off all their past Championship Diamond Rings to notice it...It has been 2 seasons since they had won a championship but many looked to them as though they were defending the Championship!!! Detroit was quicker, faster, shot better, rebounded better and defended more agressively in every game , including game 2 when they messed up and let it get away....Detroit made everybody other than Kobe and Shaq beat them and they couldn't... The Lakers "Dynasty" has crumbled away...and this off season should be very interesting for them...Kobe going to free agency and/or prison...Shaq possibly retiring...and The Zen Master retiring...Great end to NBA season...NOW I'M READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!!

I truly beleive that with the defensive changes that we all need to get accustom to a different game. The unfortunate thing STILL with the NBA is there will be those wanting to sell offense, and those selling defense. And with an 82 game season, you will not find consistency in play calling, officials calls, and team motivation. The NBA is still a league even with the EAST back as CHAMPS and the defense being a big factor, it is still a leauge that encourages not playing hard or showing all your wares during the regular season, and I think this makes for two different worlds in the NBA. This series was officiated like an NCAA FINAL FOUR game. Which I AM COMPLETELY OK WITH. The season is not officiated the way this whole playoff was officiated. I mean if the NBA does not officiate the way they did in this series, may as well call it the second coming of the WWF.

ANYWAYS....it is truly a PLEASURE to admire such a TEAM as THE PISTONS

THEY WERE ALL ABOUT TEAM, and they have ALL CLASS ACTS ON THAT TEAM. They defintely strengthen the IMAGE of the NBA

Better team won. End of story. I do relish the fact that all the Laker fans won't accept this. Being a die hard Bulls fan I never thought I would see the day that I would root for the Pistons. Well I guess times change. I couldn't think of a better TEAM to bring the trophy back to the East.

Good Luck To All

Get used to the defence, remember the pacers had the best defence in the league and they can realy make a game look ugly, a healthy Tinsly and Oneal and the finals could have been scores in the 60 range. Look for Dallas and Sac. to break their teams up and go for more D, and rumour in Indy is McGrady is a pacer next year.
