As a Giants fan, I am not as excited as everyone else seems to be. Yes, Sidney is having a good year but unless the guy loses his next 8 starts this will be the first year he's had a record over .500. The guy is having a good year so far but RPM is right next year he will be 8-10 with a 4.7 ERA again.

Hopefully he will continue his good year for the rest of this year then the Giants won't resign him.

Only time will tell.

Being a Giant fan, I think this is huge! Yes, this is Ponson’s first solid year but the kid can pitch. I think he finishes this year strong and becomes one of the better pitchers in the NL. It took him a few years to develop but I think SF is just the place for him to excel….

I agree with joey, Ponson has come into his own...this guy is a stud! He will get better...Orioles offered him 3 years and he blew them off...Still a headcase, he was overpaid his whole career, Angelos and his son`s have ruined the Balto. Orioles

Huge Giants fan here as well. Pac Bell park is a great pitchers park. Giants best chance to win is now. Bonds won't be around forever.
Got to do it now. I think they gave up a lot.
Moss has serious upside if he can throw strikes
and Ainsworth is a very good pitcher.

Giants have 4 solid starters
w/ Schmidt/Ponson/Williams and Rueter.
