Identity,

I find their posts to be informative and entertaining at times.

They have as much a right to post as you do.

If you do not want to read a thread, my advise is to simply not to click on it...

That response is exactly the reason why posters shouldn't be moderators. Granted, Identity can be controversial at times, but his point this time was seemingly valid.

But it raises a deeper question. When mods post stuff that others might not see as relevant, and when questioned, it is swept aside with a smart ass remark.

But they move stuff all the time that is often questioned by a lot of people without even a reason given. Other than "topic locked moved to RR".

Basically it is the moderators world and anyone who wants to post here has to like it or lump it.

wantitall,

While I value your opinion, I believe our moderators are as fair as they can be.

They work their asses off making judegement calls 24-7, and of course, some people will not always agree with them.

I don't believe this forum would be where it is today without their help!

You sir, have no clue how difficult and thankless a job this can be..

I appreciate all that they do...

How can a moderator be objective?

Mods with over 10,000 posts each. Seems that moderators here are nothing more than paid posters. A moderator's job is to clean out topics not to post in every thread possible, start useless threads and build up their posts.

Want- you inquiry falls upon deaf/SCAMMING ears.

THE TOPIC OF THE THREAD, TELL'S ME IF I WANT TO READ IT OR NOT. SO IF YOU DON'T SEE A TOPIC YOU LIKE DON'T OPEN IT. IS IT REALLY THAT DIFFICULT ?

Someday the truth will come out as to why you are so hell bent on trying to discredit everything THE RX stands for
icon_rolleyes.gif
?

Here`s a guy who has nothing better to do than moderate the moderators
icon_confused.gif
, and when he`s not doing that he`s telling me via AOL IM what a loser everyone is
icon_rolleyes.gif

Except him of course

uncle b - please addres the issue at hand...should you be posting your silly comments about the daily sports news in the OFFSHORE GAMING forum or in the RUBBER ROOM? or how about in the relevant sports forums?

the reason i have a problem with this, and the reason i don't believe the theory of "just don't read a thread you don't like", is that with all of these mindless posts about nothing related to gambling, it is very difficult to find anything of value anymore!!!

i posted a question about gamblers palace and because of all of the moderators' posts about nothing important, i will not get an answer to my thread...

I never gave an opinion on how good or bad it was moderated. Just that when it is the fox guarding the henhouse it leads to conflicts of interest. While some things are eay to move/remove, others are not so cut and dry.

As for knowing how thankless a job it is, yes you are correct. I have been offered mod jobs myself, but never took them.

But really how difficult is it? It isn't like they are transporting nuclear waste, they are censoring posts on an internet forum for crying out loud, and they are getting paid to do something they have 10s of thousands of examples of that they would do for nothing.

As for the true sexual identity of "identity" I thought that was like "Pat" from the old SNL skits, it has never been truly figured out. Maybe "ambiguity" would be a better name?

There might be a lot to complain about here at the RX, but in terms of how the MOds moderate, They are doing a great / stand up job. There tasks are laborious and difficult, there hours are long and grueling, but they have cleaned this place up real well only to have the difficulties and frustrations associated with the sites operation stand in there way.
Thanks for all your work guys and gals

Dogball,

Thanks for the kudos about our mods. As far as the "technical" problems, I believe those have been taken care of...

My Pleasure, it is much deserved. If I thought I could get an email to you I would elaborate on some other issues which I see as important to address.

I e mailed you after the site had posts erased weeks ago but got no response.
Congratulations on fixing the technical issues , that is great news.
