Geoff ive googled to my hands bled and i cant find a damn thing anybody has to say good about anything in Shreveport. Dirty and high crime seem to be good keywords if you want to try it yourself...
Al Copeland had a restaurant there and if its still open that would be where id go. He died however a few months back so im not sure if its still there or not...

shreveport sucks.

only thing it's good for is letting me and my buddies back up the truck full of cash there...though comps are good at the horseshoe. we always end up with free rooms and food...i've never sniffed a comp in vegas.

Spent most of the racing season season there 15 years ago.

There's some good catfish restaurants around, one on Cross lake, one one Black lake Bayou and a few in Bossier city and Shreveport.

I would go to the Public course out by the airport and hit golf balls every morning. Handicapping and racing took up most of the time.

Pretty good food at the track back then.

I was down there a lot when Jack Binion owned the Horseshoe. Southern Trace is an outstanding golf course.
