Should we put the Outhouse and RR back together?

Someone made a comment that it seemed the built in animosity of the different people under one roof helped made it what it was. Could it have been a mistake seperating the two? This place is so busy we are constantly creating new forums to handle the traffic so maybe we didn't think this one through all the way.

Now don't get excited as it is FAR FAR from being a reality, in fact I haven't even brought it up on the board room yet. Just wanted to hear what you guys thought. Will post it in each of the two forums to see what the members think.

Both sections have respected posters who made each section worth reading. It is only a select few issues that ruin both & until they get taken care of, nothing will change in either place.

not sure pat, but perhaps we need rules in here as well, This RR is offending some ...we have the no racism rule perhaps we should ban talk of kids etc. It is disgusting

I say bring the two back together and let everyone have their storming period and then everything will be fine once again. It is better to have one decent forum with a lot of posts and posters than two with a small number of the same posters, maybe this will give the impression and invite to posters to post in the forum if it is not such a tight knit community.Lets have some fun! What do you think?

Thanks for the feedback men, keep it coming please. This is why we are asking you all so we can get a feel for it.

Dante - I was never crazy about the idea of a RR when it was brought up but have gotten used to it now. I can go either way on it. I do think it gets WAY out of bounds at times. Once someone down here made fun of Super Scout dying and called it a hoax, I couldn't believe it was allowed to stand. Another time someone made fun of TRK's kid when it was born and was having problems, it freaked me out that nothing was done. Peep was in charge at the time and stuck firmly to the unmoderated forum rule which I guess was consistant with his idea behind it.

Since he is gone if we got enough to challenge it we could bring it up but quite frankly I am not sure everyone really wants to do away with it. I know a few like EGD want the whole forum moderated but many do not I would bet. Heck why we are asking let's throw this out there too for the guys - Do you guys want the moderators to start policing this area as well? That will be a good place to start. I want to hear what other residents down here think then we can go from there......

I think bringing the 2 forums back together is a good idea. The OH was requested for garbage from the off to be dumped. I guess in that aspect, it serves a purpose, but I would vote to do away with the OH and Keep RR only if I were to choose.

If they do get put together again, I would just remind that the original purpose of the RR was as a haven for the degenerates to bash, talk trash, whatever. But because there's been good info in RR and perhaps so in OH, there's been a trend to policing just like in a regular forum. We need a place to get our BTJ fix and to not have to be PC. Where we can call a spade a spade and call guys out even if we don't agree. I think everything short of malicious slander has to be fair game SOMEWHERE down here. So keep the original purpose in mind as you guys decide.

No, the two forums should not be brought together again. The problem is that the mods haven't learned to distinguish which threads should be thrown in the OH and which ones in the RR.

My suggestion is to give DickyW the power to move threads from the RR to the OH.

Everything evolves over time. The RR today is home to more serious handicapping info than it was a year ago.

My suggestion would be to use the outhouse as it was intended. Too many threads from offshore end up in RR.

Also suggest some mild moderation of serious threads such as TeamRR picks & info.

I say shut down the Outhouse, the same people post similar trash in each of them. There is nothing that can be done to shut Raiders up. So lets just limit the bashing to one forum. I'm getting tired of chasing him around all over the place.
