Yes. The guy is an asshole, but there is no disputing his track record of success.

Carroll gets the best recruits year after year and plays in a lesser conference compared to the SEC. He's one of the better college coaches for sure but I'll take Meyer any day of the week.

Let's see what happens when Tebow & some others are gone.

That will tell the tale......

He won his 1st National Title with Chris Leak under center, probably the worst possible fit for the system he runs. With the way that he is recruiting right now, don't expect a fall off anytime soon. Zooks players are gone and he is now loaded up with his own.

You answered your own Question. (<)<

But Pete is a very good College coach. I would put him in the Top 5 ( Current )

But he sucks in the NFL

Hes allowed to suck in the NFL if he is coaching at USC. The college and pro game are totally different and that works in all sports just not football. Some people are just not suited for the professional game. I hate USC but the kids love Carroll and all he does is win.

True, and I'm not taking anything away from him. He has done a nice Job at USC.

One title that Pete Carroll now holds. The largest pointspread LOSER in ALL of College Football! At home , no less. Lost to Stanford as a 41 point favorite.

Carroll is great in getting his players to play at maximum effort against the better teams. He falls short in his effort to motivate fully against the weaker teams.

Just think about the teams that have caused him to miss out on playing for the NC the last few years. Probably has the best players EVERY year but seems to lack in the motivation of said players.

I vote a resounding YES! OBTW, Meyer now owns the record as the best pointspred record in a season of 12-1
