Teams have to tank.. Because of the culture of the guys in the league, teams have no choice.. Literally 75% of the league has no chance of ever landing a top flight desired free agent. Only chance is to get top pick in the right draft .

So remove max contracts and then highest bidder wins just like baseball.

If you can make the same amount in any place your gonna choose a more desirable place every time.

Let capitalism and the free market work. Oh wait, owners wouldn't want that....

You mean like paying people what they are actually worth?

The Marlins are about to pay Stanton close to 300Ms. Owners in bball/football got it made in the shade

"Culture of the players" Gimme a break. How dare those NBA players want to choose where they play when the $ is exactly the same. Do they actually think they are allowed to pursue happiness like the rest of us? fuckin ungratefuls

I'm not arguing with you. Just saying there would be some crazy contracts.

There are insane contracts in MLB.

I'm not even saying that is what the NBA should do. Just saying what 25 y/o rich dude is gonna wanna live in Milwaukee or Utah over NY/LA/SF or whatever if the $ is the exact same? Fuck that!

The sixers tanking is not getting them anywhere the last 2 years they didn't get an impact player and if they get the number 1 pick this year are they going to draft another big man in a guard league?

I agree.. I think the NBA salary structure/rules were designed with the right intentions, but is actually creating the opposite.

Sports is for entertainment not gambling! In the shadows of reality gambling on sports stays illegal in most states for one reason and this is for Big Brother to stay in control! I heard tonight Obama is allowing immigrants into the US to begin taking jobs from hardworking Americans for less $$$!
Think about it, someone earning 20 cents an hour now for 80 hours in Istanbul will work for $1.00 @ Walmart!

Back to topic....... disparity is
lack of similarity or equality which is not competitive usually, but entertainment whether winning or losing ^<<^

Contract the league

If I owned a team, I would tank for years until I got "the guy" because without that, you have little chance. The Spurs tanked when David Robinson was hurt, worked for them.

Season needs shortened

Too many coin flip baby's.

College will always be more popular

It's well known that the Sixers have been deliberately tanking & the NBA plans to pass, or already passed, changes in the lottery which decreases the odds of the worst team getting the top pick(s).

Tough situation because it's not fair to teams who truly are pathetic....
