Should the league do something about the Oakland Raiders?

Seriously, this nonsense is beyond comprehension.

In a billion dollar business the Raiders have no chance to win because of a senial old man embarrassing an organization & a city.

I feel so bad for all you proud Raiders fans. I am utterly speechless in regards to their draft. I thought I had seen it all with Al Davis & this team over the last few years but it is clearly onvious that the best is yet to come.

I dont know how the league doesnt force him out or do something about this.

i'm no draft expert but I was shocked when Darrius Heyward-Bey was drafted. Al Davis is an old fart and can't run a team anymore.

funniest part of the draft was ESPN's announcer's saying that the Raiders 2nd round pick probably wasn't even watching the draft and that he was out playing basketball or something.

i was looking over some combine stuff, found a funny review of heyward

2/23/09: Darrius Heyward-Bey is a great player. Well, at least in Al Davis' eyes. DHB won't make it past Oakland in Round 2, thanks to a 4.30 40.

Johnnie Lee Higgins led all of Oakland's wideouts with 22 catches for 366 yards last season.

T.O. had these numbers in one game when he was with SF!!!

Kid could run right out of the stadium but it wont matter when the QB cant get him the ball.



The Raiders also passed up on Virginia's Eugene Monroe, one of the highest-rated offensive tackles in the draft. Oakland struggled at that position last season, but Cable believes that returnees Mario Henderson and Cornell Green, as well as free-agent signees Khalif Barnes and Erik Pears, will solidify the spot.

Monroe went to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who had the next pick at No. 8.

Mario Henderson barely played at FSU and FSU was desperate for OL. guy was a benchwarmer. When they did finally play him, out of desperation due to injuries, he did play pretty well.

I never would have thought he is in the NFL.

the safety they picked at 47 Michael Mitchell. ESPN doesn't even have player evaluations on him. thats how low he is. Mcshay didn't even have him getting drafted in his 7 round mock draft. The raiders front office makes me feel slightly better about how bad my teams front office is.

ESPN said the same thing about Matt Cassel when the Patriots drafted him. They laughed when the Patriots drafted Logan Mankins in the first round. They screamed when teams passed up on Heath Shuler. They liked Drew Henson over Tom Brady.

One thing to note: Most analysts on ESPN are retired players or fired coaches. Hardly top-notch draft experts. WTF does Steve Young know about scouting?

ESPN got caught with their pants down ... that is all there is to it.
