If Wentz was thrown into this year's draft, he would be the #1 overall draft pick.

If the whole league started from scratch and drafted all the current NFL players, Wentz would be a top 10-15 pick in the entire league. That's how talented and valuable he is.

People have such short memories. They forget he was the leading candidate to win the MVP last season before he was hurt. And they forget that Philly was devastated with injuries for most of the games that Wentz started this season. And even with that, he still put up very good numbers with a depleted roster.

He's 2x the QB that Foles is. And younger. And still on his rookie contract.

This isn't even a debate.

Well, come on. This year's QB class sucks balls. Haskins?

Are you saying if we know what we know about him now or coming out of college? Too many variables as in who is drafting #1 etc.

As is. Right now with what we know about him. And I realize it's not saying anything that's not really obvious. Just using it to prove a point about his talent and how valuable/coveted he is.

Like I said, if the entire NFL had a re-draft of current players, there's no doubt i my mind he would be a top 10-15 overall pick. Taking his talent and age into consideration.

Well of course he'd be #1 this year but I guess I'm just not as high on him as you are.

It's not just me. I'd be absolutely shocked if you could even find one NFL GM that would prefer to have Foles over Wentz for their franchise moving forward.

So I am not wholly aware, thus I looked it up and it is reasonable to say he was at worst *equal* and more fair about 10% better in this year's 11 games compared to last year's 13.

69% completion percentage (last year 60%)....7.7 ypa (7.5)....Passer Rating 102 both years, TD/Int 21/7 (33/7 in two more games)

I am also unaware details of his disabling injury both this year and last. Are either this year's (or both) such that one should truly think he is at increased risk beginning next September?

He blew out his ACL last year. That seems to have healed 100%.

This year he broke a vertebrae that ended his season. 3 months to completely heal I guess. They say he could actually play with it, but they are playing it safe with him. But have not put him on IR. My guess is that he would maybe give it a go down the road in the post-season if Foles were to get hurt and they were still alive.

Not to quibble w your verbiage, but I presume there are tiers of damage to leg (or any) ligaments and his was a more favorable case given his return to action within eight months, eh?

Will you admit the Eagles are a better team with Foles than with Wentz?

What hat in the Holy Fuc—. Foles is 29

Wentz willl be 27 this year.

Wentz turned 26 last week. Foles turns 30 in 12 days. Four years difference.

Gotta ride the hot hand. I’d play Foles right now even if Wentz could go.

Long term moving forward? Wentz without a doubt as stated.

It is honestly very tough to measure, imo.

Last year Eagles had L Blount and J Ajai for a double rush threat. This season very sketchy rush game and most any QB will show weaker stats. Yet Wentz in his 11 games this year was equal or a notch better than last. Foles also has been pretty equal this year to last in game performance.
