Should sports leagues even test for Marijuana, seems harmless in comparison to hard stuff.

While I personally would rather not be around the smelly drug, I don`t see the significance in sports leagues testing its players for this..

It seems almost everyone (not myself included) has or does use marijuana, which to me seems even less of an offense than someone who is an alcoholic who drinks hard liquor regularly...

BTW- when it comes to serious traffic offenses/accidents, it seems alcohol is 10x`s as likely to be the cause over pot...while I`m sure part of the reason is because alcohol is legal, I still say alcohol is probably worse than pot...

Maybe you could argue pot leads to worse things, but if players are going to use they`re going to use...I`d bet most law makers and even some President`s have smoked pot fairly regularly...

As long as this is on shelves to be purchased, I will laugh at laws against weed.

That stuff in the bottle will make one mean Judge. I have never met a person who gets angry from smoking weed.

It doesn't matter. No matter how much of an argument you can make for pot being safer than booze. It is still an illegal drug.Millions of other working people in this country get tested for it and will get turned down or fired from a job.Why would it be ok for these overpaid rejects?

Weed testing needs to be able and show somewhat precise times of use. As is, very questionable is the time frame of using.

NICKY: Millions of other working people in this country get tested for it and will get turned down or fired from a job.Why would it be ok for these overpaid rejects?

BAR: Well of course they aren't 'overpaid'. They are paid exactly what the free market will bear for someone who can do a job which less than 1000 people on the planet can do at the same level.

Meanwhile, the people getting jerked with are those millions you reference who are tested as part of their employment when they are working a job that can be performed just fine, regardless of whether marijuana metabolites are in the bloodstream.

Job performance and personal integrity are the key issues, not the chemical makeup of your bloodstream. If you are using a drug(s) that sufficiently impairs your performance, you'll lose your employment anyway.

A person is better judged based on the content of their character rather than by the color of their urine.
