Funny story about food stamps/EBT -
At the end of the night I think on the 2nd of every month, at the convenience store where we have to gas up our cabs on Lake Mead and Loose rd, before midnight there is a large group of EBT-Food Stamp people waiting for midnight to hit. After midnight, they are buying soda, chips, frozen pizzas, candy... you name it. All at almost double the price cause its a convenience store.... But if they waited till it is 6am, there is a SuperMarket 3 blocks away.
So they will spend $30 on garbage, instead of waiting till 6am to go 3 blocks and buy the same stuff for around $15. Also another thing I disagree with, is that food stamps shouldn't let you buy chips, soda, candy and other garbage. Should be used to purchase strictly food items that are somewhat beneficial to your health and well-being.

Sure they do, when they purchase it themselves.
Food stamps/EBT are TEMPORARY (key word) assistance, also known as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
It should be used for items to survive, NUTRITIONAL items, not luxury items.
So, by your thinking... we should give them cars, shoes, houses, unlimited bank accounts, gambling money, etc... cause..... Don't they deserve everything and anything as well?
We gave 14 trillion dollars to Wall Street to bail out those crooks, and allowed them to keep giving themselves bonuses in the millions of dollars without any strings attached to how they spent that money, but you are concerned with some guy mis-spending his $200 in food stamps.
