Maybe Justbet doesn't cold call, but many lower end books will call ....CONSTANTLY !.. that can be a real PIA !...therefore some don't want to give a phone #.

Pinnacle is one of the top books in the world, and you can't call them.

When a books number shows on my caller ID, I sometimes answer "Good afternnon, this is inspector Thompson, Federal Bureau of Investigation. You have called the cell phone of boatboatboat, may I have your name and contact number please"?

Justbet does call their players every so often. Hardly anyone minds. Are there some that do? Of course. They simply ask us not to call. That takes all of 4 seconds? What do you have... like 50 books and get dozens of calls a day?

If you don't want to be called it would be moronic for us or anyone to call you. Why would we wanna piss you off? Let us know if you have an account here and have ever asked that we don't call and someone does.

In fact, I get several complements from new players as to how impressed they are that someone took the time to call, welcome them to the site and offer to help get them started and go over things like deposit options, payouts and how the bonuses work. They tell me things like "I have played at 4 or 5 other books and never has anyone called me ... this is great service and its nice to speak to a person I can understand".

I have a pinnacle account also and you're right, you can't call them but if you are in the US you can't even use them. People (most) like the convenience of a toll free number and a live chat feature.

Don't call me, I'll call you is my policy with books, but I quit when Matchbook killed USA action anyway. No need for a book to call me ever, unless it is about a bet in dispute or a withdrawal problem.

scott carter - "I am sure your local guy would really appreciate it if you gave him someone elses cell number when he called to collect."

There is no comparison between giving one's number to an offshore book, and giving it to a local.

The local and the customer exchange money on a personal basis. Of course a real number is required, and I'm sure a real one is given - the customer wants to be paid when it's his way.

Giving a real phone number to an offshore book is something I will never do - the forums for years are filled with posts of people being annoyed/harassed by offshore sales people calling.

There's no way in the world I'll be calling that number - wtf is this about? You're a sales rep at an offshore? Which one?

I don't want to get into a pissing match with you but mature people can disagree. On this point we will have to disagree. While there are differences between the two, the bottom line is the same. The local and the offshore will both take your action and pay you when you win.

yes there are and yes you remember those of course. Most people do. The facts however are completely different than what you want to believe. Thousands of new accounts are opened every year and 99% simply add correct information and most that get called appreciate the company calling and offering to help them get started. Going over deposit options, payout options and any bonuses that are available. Usually they cab take it from there. Once in a while, someone might call if you haven't been playing for awhile to see how its going and maybe tell him about a current bonus offer and/or contest that they are offering. When I can a local a long ago, he would give me a shout every so often and see how I was doing. Not a big deal to me.

I never understood these guys that post of different forums saying that I got a call from so and so. Like its some kind of horrible thing. Let's say, for argument sake, that it is a major inconvenience. The solution is a simple one. Ask them to take you off the call list and problem solved. But no, they rather start a thread instead and complain to anyone that will listen rather than take 4 or 5 seconds, they rather spend a bunch more time venting on a forum. I don't get it.

I have 5 accounts with different books over the last 10 years, some have called me and some haven't. To me there are a lot of other things in life much more important than complaining on a forum when a simple request asking them not to call to solve it. I know what I say ain't gonna change those who love to complain about trivial things but maybe I will save a few guys some time and aggravation by just taking my advice. believe me, no book wants to irritate their customers.

I changed it to reflect in my signature. A lot of guys here know me as the JustBet manager for the RX and I have spoken to dozens of them. I doubt that any will come here and complain about the amount of times I have called them and I can assure you that every account that I gave set up when they have called me, I asked them if there are any special instructions I should add by your phone number ... like a wife of girlfriend etc.

Bottom line, I am a sports bettor that happens to work for a real solid book. I don't BS anyone. I give you the straight goods.

My job is very easy overall because 99% of the players are happy campers that go year after year without an sorts of issues. When they win they get paid and when they don't, we keep the money. Isn't that they way its supposed to me?

Good luck on your bets

Many books call constantly and ignore requests to be removed from the call list, that is why we don't want to give out phone numbers, Scotty !
