What does working in Credit have to do with being Jaded or bitter, if you want to know the truth the credit business actually pays better to the little man, and yes thats what I am so let me hear about it. I feel sorry for the guys in the Post-up business, because they have to deal with more scumbags like you and you dont know who is who unless you run IP checks and whatnot. Credit, we just boot you shitheads out as soon as we find out what you are up to. These Postup employees are making on average half of what they pay in the credit business and have a bunch of guys just like you looking for an angle to screw them out of there hard earned cash(regardless of what you think about them this is fact).
If you bet the other side to correct a mistake than its your own stupidity, the books actually are willing to help in these situations(assuming of course that you didnt wait for the line to move two points before you made the call).
And as far as being a snitch its not like you told me you were a thief in confidence, you posted iit on the internet jackass. If you dont like it quit bragging about your scumbag tendencies on a public forum, especially one that us "bitter and jaded" people post at. My only sin is letting my fellow working man know what a POS you are, and I hope it bites you in the ass.
Then go to college, maybe grad school, get a degree or two, and get a better paying job instead of crying and snitching about it
Most wouldn't abuse this privilege by betting into a bad line or stiffing for that matter you would think.

NES - I never knew you worked in the business. How do you feel about books that put up a number on a prop and everyone bets into it, then the book cancels the prop saying it was a bad number (they don't want to take the risk)? I see this all the time with golf, tennis and other sports that offer soft lines.
Cancelled before or after the scheduled event is over? And has this book ever cancelled a wager for you that you decided you didnt want after it was already confirmed? I doubt I would be happy if I were the player but dont think I have seen this happen.
Cancelled just before it starts because their exposure is too great. In other words, the line was fine for 24 hours, then they cancel because the play gets posted, then people pound it more.
I've never called to have a bet cancelled. It is my reponsibility to confirm.
Sounds like the book is scared to lose a little money, they should have had it circled down to atleast $1000 if not $500 if it was an "iffy" line, and then bet it off somewhere else if they got hammered to much on one side(even if it means losing some juice) I have never seen that done personally, but most of these post-up books are amateurs anyways, especially the newer ones. In the credit business the agents will honor basically anything they accept, the reason being that collecting is the hardest part of the business so you want to keep your guys happy.
Just for the record I am not a line mover, but I understand their position and dont appreciate scumbags who exploit their mistakes.
Whats the matter Whorethroat, did you get busted or what?
There are hundreds of players out there who just bet bad lines all the time..myself, I could not ever bet that total that WMAN bet(under 489 on a quarter bet) and continue to bet shit like that...an obvious mistake by the book...I have given away hundreds of dollars in Bonus Plays as long as the customers are civil and argue in a positive manner...my answer to WMAN would have been "Sir, you can keep your bet, but your internet priviledges have been suspended and you must now call in all your bets." Very simple solution...in this business, getting linesmakers to admit their mistakes is half the battle...we all make mistakes...customer service with clients is a must and must never be taken lightly...now if you ever call and start swearing and getting nasty with a book, then all gloves are off....just my 2 cents on the matter...
