Shooting reported at Annapolis building housing Capital Gazette

ANNAPOLIS, Md. —An active shooter has been reported at the building that houses the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis Thursday afternoon.
The incident was reported at 888 Bestgate Road.

Authorities are asking people in the area to shelter in place as a precaution.
Police are going floor by floor to ensure the building is secure.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Baltimore office is responding to the incident.

Maryland Routes 450 (Defense Highway) and 178 (Generals Highway) were closed in the area, according to the State Highway Administration. Multiple fatalities
