Shoeless Joe and Ty Cobb , talk about Toy's in the Attic (800K)

That's what was discovered recently in some woman's attic, she found her grandfather's complete set of Crackerjack 1914 cards in MINT CONDITION...Including Shoeless Joe Jackson and Ty Cobb...

The Shoeless Joe card is believed to be the most valuable card in mint condition in existence.....And all these years they just sat in someone's attic.:WTF:

The complete set was just sold for $ 800,000 !

GREAT FIND!

It is amazing that you find stories similar to this quite often.

People need to clean their attics and get organized in this country.

By the way, just read in MONEY magazine that those ALUMINUM XMAS trees from the 60's are now highly sought after collectible items and bring some good prices.

Like this one for example, fetching over $250 on EBAY..............

:icon_conf That's one ugly tree...I do remember seeing them, but why would anyone want one now...

JMAN-- I would have much rather dished out the winning bid of $10,000 and won the following item!!

I wanted HAWKEYE171 to place a bid on it and put it in the backyard of his newly purchased estate here in Tampa.

I think it was a good deal for $10,000.................although moving it may have been a pain.

So you are serious about building your own Carver Hawkeye, that would add a nice touch, and for 10,000 that's not bad....this would be a nice place for future Bash's when its completed...

I have an idea, you guys could start Rx Fantasy Camps, you know Wade would be interested....Do you still talk to Dr. Tom Davis ?

The Wagner card isn't mint though....I believe the Wagner card did go for over 1 million...

They say these cards look brand new, almost 100 years later...

I was trying to find an article on this...

From what I heard this is suppose to be the oldest complete set in immaculate condidtion ever found....not sure if that means someone has other sets out there or not....

That Shoeless Joe Jackson card I pictured was only ranked #30 , but that was just a price list from some online card store.

I still can't believe I gave all my cards away to my girlfriends kid brother, 15 years ago....WTF was I thinking?

I liked those 1969 All Star Cards, where the player was busting through the newspaper...I know those allstar specialty cards weren't worth as much, but I liked the look...

The 1969 set is one of my all-time favs..........if not THE favorite.

The Clemente card you posted IMO is the best sportscard of representing Roberto.

Have one in PSA 9 Nr-mt condition.

I thought the Honus Wagner card went for over a mill some time ago.:icon_conf :icon_conf
The Wagner is from the 1909-10 T-206 set. He was not in the Cracker Jack set.

I hated the 1969's but loved the 1971's - all black border.

Yes the 71 was another classic look, I liked 1970 grey border as well...I think mainly because these are the first cards I ever saw...1971 black border was another great great looking card! I think the '73 was another good one...This is all fuzzy as I haven't thought about it in a long time...Distinctly remember 69 70 71 though...

FW do you have many cards , how bout some examples if so?
