Good trade for the Giants. Shockey has talent, but the Giants were a much better team when he wasn't on the field. Getting a 2nd and 5th round pick for a loud mouth like Shockey was beneficial for the team.

Brees to Shockey could be a very solid combo. Brees should have a very easy time getting it in the endzone with those targets he has.

What targets? Shockey, Bush and Colston? They have one good WR, and even he isn't top tier, they have an explosive RB/WR that gets most of his catches 1-2 yards ahead of the LOS, and Shockey actually improved his former team by sitting on the bench.

I don't understand why everyone thinks of NO as some offensive powerhouse. Indianapolis, New England, Cincinnati, Dallas...those are offensive teams. New Orleans can't compare to any of those teams on offense. New Orleans is probably the most overrated team in the league, along with Philly and Jacksonville.

Only two years ago the Saints had a very explosive offense. On paper, they look better than that team on BOTH sides of the ball. I expect big things from the Aints this year.

Stats don't lie my friend. Saints fell off a bit in scoring offense but by adding Shockey, they should be able to spread it in the redzone and get in the endzone more often this season.
