It has been a little over a month since I went to vegas but I always wanted to throw a little something in here for people that are interested in checking out some food spots...or for those to add their reviews....

Firefly.....Tapas!

There is one the recently built in the Plaza hotel in Downtown but I went to visit the one on Paradise.

What I can remember eating:

Firefly Fries - nothing special
Petite Filet - Pretty good
steak and mushroom skewers - probably the best thing we ate
Empanada - This did not taste good at all....everyone took a bite and didn't finish this
Stuffed peppers - Not bad....was not spicy but was just a pepper and some tomato sause w/ cheese.....not filling at all

Overall review - the atmosphere was pretty nice here...even had a few guys yell "go warriors" as I had my customary vegas UH hat. This place is a fun place to visit if you have a lot of people wanting a few drinks and sharing some light tapas. My party was of 3 and we were mildly satisfied.

The Melting Pot

This place was pretty fricking awesome......a bit pricey though (about $60-$75/person not including beverage/wine)

There were 3 fondue courses.

#1 - you choose your type....we had a wine/cheese fondue...they melt wine and cheese in the pot and supply you with all fruits and an assortment of breads.

#2 - You choose your type (i forget mine)....he had them bring some lobsters, chicken, pork, beef, and an assortment of veggies that we cooked in the pot before eating....very delicious.

#3 - you choose the type of chocolate (I think we had a white and dark chocolate mix) - they bring all kinds of stuff to dip in this....cake, oreos, fruits, marshmallows, etc....

I will go here again on my next vegas trip

Some cafe/restaurant on Mount Charleston.....snow was melting so it wasn't as cold as during the winter season. The views were nice but IMO the food was mediocre at best. We sat outside as it wasn't as cold as the months before but there is a cool super huge fireplace inside that will keep most warm when the rest of the area is unbearable.

Serendipity3 - This is located outside Caesars Palace. The thing we got was the frozzen hot chocolate. This is what they are known for. It is a $10 drink that has a hot chocolate taste but in a smoothie form. It was tasty but worth $5, NOT $10.......if you are rich then worth a try as I think this place started in NYC and worked its way to vegas
