"Squares" will handicap a card and come up with 6 plays that look something like this.
play #1 3 units
play #2 2.5 units
play #3 1 unit
play #4 1 unit
play #5 1 unit
play #6 0.5 unit

Sharps bet .5% to .6% of their bankroll on plays.

sharps are always looking for value and stay low key....squares just want action and write on posting forums.

Squares lose because they have no clue; Sharps lose less because they "know what theyre doing".

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> Sharps:

1) Are Emotionless
2) Do not bet just to make the games more fun to watch.
3) Take notes on every game.
4) Usually pick one or two sports to be an expert at. It is impossible to be a know=it-all about football, hockey, NBA, college sports, etc...let alone a handicapper in these sports!
5) Always think ahead. Think about matchups two weekends from now. Will watch certain games to help aid future matchup decisions.
6) Bet on only a few, well research games per week.
7) Take advantage of early odds before they have a chance to change.
8) Take advantage of the best odds available.
9) Are not addicted to gambling. They bet because they win and do it for a living.
10) Are very rare. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Good post. Where did he run to?

Sharps take -2.5 or +2.5 and win by 12 pts. That doesn't happen often, but when it does, I assure you, a sharp guy is always on the right side.
They don't bet teasers, or ifs, or reverses. An ocassional 2 team parlay maybe, if they find the value.

Sharps

Guys that used to be squares, but learned from their mistakes, and NEVER make them again.

Squares

Guys that never learn, and keep making the same dumb ass mistakes.

I used to think I was coming around to becoming a Sharp, untill I lost my entire bankroll. A move like that is something that a square would do. Looks like I still have alot to learn. Only way to change things are to learn from the mistakes you make.

Only then will any of us be "so called Sharps!"
