Made a healthy wager on the Dallas ML last night. Looked at the NBA Scores and seen it appeared the only road team to win was Orlando. Assumed we would see another in Dallas, afterall 1st vs worst, 7½ fav, with Dirk back. Didn't see the entire game. Dallas was up 20 after 1. Went to bed @ half and told the cook, "Will probably lose by 1 on a last second shot LOL".

Well......

12.0 LAC Shooting foul on Marko Jaric
12.0 DAL Steve Nash missed 1st of 2 Free Throws
12.0 DAL Steve Nash missed 2nd of 2 Free Throws
12.0 DAL 30-second Timeout
7.0 LAC Elton Brand missed Turnaround Jump Shot
0.0 LAC Offensive Rebound by Glen Rice
1.0 LAC Glen Rice made Jump Shot
0.0 End of period.

LAC 100 DAL 99 Final

I feel your pain...I had G Sate + 5 & + 3 for the second half...Game went to OT so I pushed & lost.

To make it worse I had over for the second half & despite OT was a loser.

To top it all off...last night at half time decided to go under 102.5 in the second half clippers....when I woke up this morning I saw that I won...but wait when i logged in to my account it seemed short...Turns out in my baked stupor I must have clicked on over instead of Under...(unless the folks at 365 changed it on me!!!!)...cant beleive that I did that...thank god it wasnt a large wager for me.

To top it all off had the sharks + .5 goal. They started with a 2-0 lead & gave it up in the 3rd to lose 3 to 2.

Lots have dogs have won straight up in the NBA last 2 days...

The impressive thing was that Rice greabbed the reound with 0 seconds left but managed to make the shot with 1 second left, apparently before he grabbed the rebound. Now THAT's impressive. Tough beat Gen. But hey, you've got a "cook" so you're set anyway.

General- My advice

Forget it!

You will win many games in your career the same way and hopefully more.

Concentrate on the job at hand Marine!

i saw the game here in so cal. i know you were just being funny - cuz the ball left rice's hand with about 1 second left in the game.

as for the ana/sj game - if you had sj - you got robbed big time. the 2nd ducks goal never should have counted - they committed a major league hooking penalty that went uncalled - and then when sj had a PP chance late in the game - they had a semi-breakaway - and Marco Sturm got hauled down - and it should have either been a penalty (which would have given sj a 5-on-3 PP) or even a penalty shot.

I didnt see the SJ game but you are not making me feel any better....I just saw the score on the Ticker & was shocked....

It was kind of like the other day (Saturday) Ottawa Senators (where I am from) had a 1-0 lead with 1.5 minutes left & NJ scored twice in the final 1.5 minutes....

But it is true as someone said, we win many games the same way but only seem to remember the losses...

Well I assume you didn't mind those instant 14 points at the end of the half. Please don't bring up this game. A great defensive effort up in smoke as that shithead just handed the Rams points on a platter. That first interception was beyond belief; would have looked horrible at the pee-wee level.

...I hate getting emotionally involved with my patients. You have the proper attitude on your bad beat General.

One of the best lessons I have aquired is to allow the emotions to stay in check. Win or lose.

If it makes you feel any better, I had the following parlay:

Florida ML
Orlando +4.5
Flyers ML
Rutgers -2.5

Orlando and Rutgers was relatively easy. But Maryland was up 15+ in the 2nd half @ Florida, and the Flyers were down 1-0 to Columbus.

But here comes the miracle! The Gators force OT, and the Flyers make it 1-1 VERY late in the 3rd.

So I'm willing to compromise. I'm not a greedy man. Just give me the Flyers tie, and I'll take the Gators win.

Gators are winning 68-64 in OT. Then they decide to play stupid/sloppy ball (just like the 1st half!) and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

That's the worst. Your team is losing by 10-20 points, they come back to take the lead, and then they blow it! Doh!
