I like em all but it's hard to beat your obvious Suoer Bowl snack; Rotel cheese dip (at least that's what we call it down here):

Velveeta (I've heard if you ever look into how this is actually made, you'd never eat it.). 1 big block
Rotel tomatoes (hot). 2 cans
Hot breakfast sausage. 1 pound.
jalapenos
chips
coke (rarely drink Coke but love it with this dip. Switch to beer afterwards.)

Dance Hall Taverns

5 lbs Hamburger - drained
1 med. yellow onion - sauteed separetely
23oz tomato juice (or rather two 11.5oz cans will suffice)
15oz tomato sauce
14oz Ketchup
1/2 tsp Horseradish
3 Tbs Chili powder
1 Tbs mustard
1 Tbs sugar

Combine in crockpot and cook on low for about 4-5 hours or 3 on high.

(Taverns are much similiar to sloppy joes but just not as tomato-y.) These were served and sold at most events held at the dance hall back in my hometown way back in the 60's and 70's. A friend of my mother's came across the recipe while working the kitchen one time in the dance hall and copied it. We've enjoyed them ever since.

Isnt that the truth!

I had a dip at a friends recently and it was awesome! asked how to make it, so simple

Block of Velvetta, 2 cans of Hormel Chili

I don't eat velvetta or canned chili, but together an awesome dip... and that's all it is...

Try hot breakfast sausage instead of Chili. You will never go back.
