Reported on Sportscenter Shaq and Lakers' owner Jerry Buss are done with each other. The lakers are trying to trade Shaq to Miami for Lamar Odom, Brian Grant and a high draft pick.

Would gladly take Shaq down here. He and Wade would make a nice team, but the Heat will probably screw that up some how. I still can't believe they passed on Jameer Nelson

I understand Wade is the one untouchable on the Heat.

Of all the Heat in the playoffs, Wade was the most consistent, and actually dominated at times. I am a very big Dewayne fan. They would have an awesome inside/out, not sure if shaq could run the floor with him. Great info wil, thanks and best wishes...OF

Anyone and Shaq will make a great 1/2 combo...

Wade is great, that's for sure. But, I would think the Lakers can get a lot more than Odom, Grant, and a 1st round pick for Shaq.

Shaq has no skills.

When was the last time Phil Jackson designed a play for that mountain guerilla late in the 4th in a close game?????? NEVER!

That RAPIST(little Kobe) has always been the first option!

Maybe fatso will concentrate on hoops now that he's out of LA (almost).

He could be top 3 ever, not just top 3 in the West

I think the Lakers should trade Shaq to the Bulls for Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford. Since Phil Jackson left, Laker fans can see how Bulls fans felt after the dynasty ended first hand.

One thing for sure, we will see how many bandwagon Laker fans there were.

Phil Jackson is the most overrated coach in the history of professional sports.

Scorpion,
Without question. He's a coward - how "coincidental" that he always leaves right before the demise ...

hey, maybe he can take Torre's job if the Wanks drop another series

The problem the Lakers have is the value of Shaq is diminished by his contract which only has a year to go. Whatever team is willing to trade away it's future for a shot at winning it all this next season has the best chance to grab Shaq. He will be a free agent no matter what after next years playoffs.

I agree Scorpion.....Coaches in most sports can make a difference in their game, but basketball is the main sport in which 95% of all results come down strictly to who has more talent.....

Jackson is 9-1 in the Finals. Pretty strong. It is just as hard to get a team of great players to win too, just ask Dallas.

Heat should try and keep Lamar or at least Grant, he does the intangibles and would be a force with Shaq on the boards. They should get rid of Caron Butler and his attitude and drug problem while he still has some value.

The Lakers, intent on trading a disgruntled Shaquille O'Neal, might make a deal with the Heat that would include Lamar Odom, Brian Grant and probably a first-round draft pick, sources told the Riverside Press-Enterprise for Thursday's editions.

The team is considering a handful of the 17 or 18 offers it has received for the center, the paper reports.

"Just like the coach deal with Phil [Jackson] being let go, Dr. Buss thinks it's time to deal Shaq," a team source told the paper.

The team is close to replacing Jackson with coach Rudy Tomjanovich. ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher reports that the deal to hire Tomjanovich is basically finished, with negotiations now centering on who will be on the coaching staff.

At the same time, free agent Kobe Bryant met with four teams, including the Lakers and the Clippers.

Tomjanovich tried to contact O'Neal, the paper reported, and Shaq left a message in response.

"I just feel terrible for Rudy because I wanted to play for him," O'Neal said, according to the paper. "But I ain't coming back there."

Sources told the Press-Enterprise that O'Neal's representatives have shot down potential deals. The Kings, one of the teams O'Neal is willing to play for, reportedly backed away from talks.
