In all fairness to Kobe, he didn't publicize this - those quotes were given to the detective the day of the incident - i don't think he intended them to be public.

In all fairness to shaq, i'd be po'd too, if i heard kobe was talking smack behind my back like that.

basketball-wise i think shaq will be primed this season for a big year but will not have a good enough supporting cast to get it done and he is running out of time.

kobe on the other hand will not see another title unless he gets to play with a mega-star like duncan or garnett. kobe cannot and will not take a supporting cast like jordan had to the title, he is not in the same class as jordan.

Shaq wouldve been dominant without Kobe. The records of when Shaq was out of the lineup vs. Kobe out of the line are a little proof in the pudding (Shaq's was considerably better) . Not sure if Shaq will get it done in Miami, tho. They still need a comparable bench, and/or just that one more AllStar/good piece in the starting rotation.
