First off you are telling me that you don't know what you're talking about because Walton won a Championship with Portland in 1976 and then won a Championship with Boston in 85. He was named the MVP of the the finals series in Portland as well as leading the NBA in rebounds and blocked shots. The following year He was the MVP and first team all NBA. In Boston He was the NBA's 6 th Man. I lived in Portland and had season tickets for about 20 years 3 rd. row from the front. When Walton was healthy... I have never seen a better all around basketball player. I saw Wilt, Jabbar, Dr. J, Walt Frazier, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, etc. etc. all up close. Walton simply made all those around him better. Portland's Championship team had Walton, Lucas and then Bobby Gross, Larry Steele, Corky Calhoun, Lionel Hollins, Wally Walker, Robin Jones Herm Gilliam ! Yet Walton led this team which was the youngest in the NBA with 7 new players to an NBA Championship. Many experts say that Walton was the best passing Center ever ! To those of us that had the pleasure of seeing him up close, He was a joy to watch. Those were the days when NBA basketball was fun to watch. I can hardly stand to watch guys like Shaq push and bully his way and take 3 steps, push off and then hear the whistle blow and of course a foul is called on whoever is in his way. Of course then He clanks the free throw !
