that was the oddest 1 minute i have ever seen in the nfl. a mind boggling call by the ref that made 0 sense .

and then another call you never see . go for 2 and the win .

The ref knew he made a mistake but once the whistle is blown, the damage cannot be undone.

exactly, you know he was hoping denver didn't convert that 2 point conversion... he knows he just fucked the bolts out of a big win.

incomplete pass = ball should be at 2 not 10

shannahan must have figured he had a better chance to get a 2 pointer and the win than risk losing a 50/50 coin flip in OT with his team playing no defense at the end
whomever won the coin flip was probably going to win the game

It was fumbled at the 10, not the 2. It was placed at the spot where the ball was at the time of the whistle.

NFL really needs to do something about that rule. I don't have a clue as to what but SD got hosed.

Thankfully since it pushed the 2H over.

Yeah, after thinking about it, it wasn't that gutsy.

Coin flip winner was winning game. 50/50.
2PC was probably 50/50 also.

but he would've been absolutely roasted by fans and media if they don't convert... not saying it wasn't the right move but it took some huge stones to pull the trigger.

john gruden did the same thing in another high scoring game against the redskins in 2005

Washington 35, Tampa Bay 36

<!-- end right rail --><!-- begin recap text -->TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- With the ball sitting on the 1-yard line, Jon Gruden couldn't resist.

The temptation to give it to Mike Alstott on a gutsy 2-point conversion call -- even if it meant going home without a victory -- was too strong.

Absolutely. Right or wrong, that took some balls.

He knew like everyone else, the coin flip would decide the winner.
