Shakes' NCAA Plays

New to posting, but not new to the forum...love the chatter here so I figured it was time to give a little back...

NCAA Football is my favorite time of year...there are several reasons but in my circle of friends it's the official start of "gambling season". I really cannot wait. Here's how I work - I don't throw out a lot of plays so the ones that I do, I really like...scale is 1 to 3...real simple...

For starters, we will probably go with a few more games than usual b/c it's the start of the season but typically just one game a night on Thursday, the occasional game on Friday and at the most, three or so on Saturday. This weekend will we will see a little more than usual but you get it...

So for starters, here we go -

Rice (-3.5)

Guys...let's get some chatter going...

Starting to look at Saturday...

Ok, good start...Buffalo easily covered the -3 last night and got us off to the start that we wanted. So for now we are looking at:

1-0 (+100 or +1 unit)

Tonight we have Rice (-3.5). This play is going for 3 units tonight...just like the fact that Rice is returning more starters on both sides of the ball, is at home and is not learning a new offensive system. SMU will be good, just not for awhile. Rice isn't all that good here but they will cover by more than 2 posessions.

As for Saturday, the early play that I am looking at is Northwestern. Ground game and homefield, not much else to say. They will control the clock and run all over the Orange. Going to add it as 1 UNIT PLAY and if we win, up it to 2...

Looking at more for some other games, like Florida on the team total but just a lean at this point.

Will add more as the research becomes final...hope to see some feedback.

Rice's big win last night put us at:

2-0 (+4 units or +400)

Today, we will go with at 12.00pm game go w/ Northwestern (-11.5). Originally, this was a 1 unit play, but since we are up a little, we will swtich it to a 2 unit play.

Looking at some more games after a long night last night. So far nothing, but leans are on Florida and my buddy really likes Pitt. What's scary about him is that he picks less games than I do and his games are usually big winners.

For the 3.30pm games, I am leaning on Michigan but have to take a closer look at it. No opinions for the 7pm games at all but I got nothing to do today besides research, watch some football and get rid of this hangover.

Saturday 12.00pm Games

Here's the 12pm plays -

Northwestern (-11.5) 2 unit

Goint to add Pittsburgh (-13.5) for 1 unit. Like I said earlier, when my buddy has a hunch, gotta go w/ it. Did my research and I concur, so we will add the play.

Had a beer to get rid of the hangover, and having another b/c the first one tasted so good, so we will also add Florida (-34) for 1 unit as well

Like Michigan later on as well for another unit. Will do some research for the 7pm games - Here's the recap:

7.00pm Plays

I got nothing for the 7.00pm games...like Nebraska a little, Clemson and Missouri but nothing that I would personally play. Still have the Michigan play pending and USC looks like a winner...so if Mich covers, will make Clemson a one unit play. Will be back tomorrow for a recap and picks for tomorrow's games.

Saturday Recap and Sunday Plays

Started off the day at 2-0 (+400)

Here's the recap:

NW 2 units, +200 (W)
Pitt 1 unit, -110 (L)
Fla 1 unit, +100 (W)
Mich 1 unit, -110 (L)
USC 1 unit, +100 (W)

So far for the day, we were finished 3-2, +180. Not a stellar day at all but with the 2-0, +400 start on Thursday and Friday, we can't complain. Here's the over all total:

5-2, (+580)

It's a good start and I am very happy especially b/c I was thinking about taking Clemson last night and I walked away.

For today's games, I like Kentucky and Colorado St but prolly won't play either game b/c I really can't make up mind which way to go and I don't play games for the sake of just playing games...so, if you have any opinions on the game, list them here and help me make up my mind...have a great day all -
