In my opinion, both teams have the same talent in all lines, the difference here could be the experience of the Niners and Kaepernick's improvement in the playoffs.

Defense is tied. Offense is a bit better niners. Coach edge is tied and special teams could be a bit better Carolina with former-49ers Ginn.

I know home field advantage and bye are other 2 big keys but I rate them about 3 spread points combined.

But, how many points you rate that experience? And Kaep's improvement?

In my opinion about 5 combined, then SF -2 is the true line here.

Carolina opened at +2, this while being at Home and on a BYE week. That is all you need to know. The books don't respect Carolina and you shouldn't either. The 49ers are the play. The RLM going on right now is meaningless.

kappernick improvement?? maybe a little - well he is good at rushing. he should be a running back instead of a qb.
he reminds me of kordell stewart, cuz in actual fact he is a bone head at play reads. he nearly gave up the critical pick 6 late in the game.
had gb's db been a little taller it way sayanora sf..due to this interceptions or near interceptions.
as much as kappernick rushing won them the game. it was also his reckless passing that nearly gave it away.
this is why the lines are so low on sf cuz he really is not that good as a qb.
i mean with the receiving core he has - maybe the best receivers as a whole in the league he still throws it to the other team

The rlm is meaningless imo. Great points seer. Kaep is 1-3 against the remaining nfc opponents. Only beating seattle at home by a last second field goal.

The colts put the blueprint out to stop him... Only a few teams have the personel to follow that scheme.

When kaep runs... He is runnin to run. He isnt runnin to throw. Unlike wilson. So when he puts his head down... There might open receivers... he was running around with his head cut off against the colts and panthers this season

If this game was in SF, the line would Open at -7 like it did in Week 10. The line was -7 without Crabtree. Vernon Davis and Crabtree were basically injured or not playing in that game. Now, the 49ers are healthy and the line opened at +2 for Carolina at Home on a BYE? I don't know where all this Carolina love is coming from, but I'm loving my 49ers bet right now.

Carolina has the better QB but San Fran has a much better coaching staff IMO.

Line perception changes on a week to week basis.

ever since Rivera did a shocking 180 by growing some balls around Week 4 and playing aggressive/going for it on 4th and short, Carolina has been underrated and keeps proving doubters wrong.

Damn coach cost them 10+ wins in the last two seasons with 4th Q collapses and bad choices

True line should end up SF -1, IMHO.

It was a fluke that Carolina beat them earlier in the year, took the perfect storm. It was an ugly, ugly win fueled by a lot of fluke shit. It's not going to happen now when it's win or go home for a team that came so close to winning it all last year, not here anyways.

agree sf should have won the first game.
i still think at the end of this game win or lose that fans will see that they need a better qb. kordell stewart= kappernick
